Think you can race your way to the podium?

If you’re here and you live in the Ft. Worth, TX area, you’re invited to join in our 1st annual, semi-formal Pit Strategy Karting League (PSKL). We have really gotten into karting this past year, but have been wanting a more varied and challenging “tournament-esque” atmosphere in which to compete. We couldn’t find one that exists already in the area - so we’ve decided to create our own!

And if you’re here and interested, we invite you to complete the form below and if we can confirm enough interest, we’ll reach out with the official structure, rules, scoring and dates soon.

Please note - filling out the below form DOES NOT enter you in the league. All this does is express your desire to compete and give us an idea of how many people are serious about joining us and give us some data for planning. If you express interest and enough others do as well, we’ll reach out to the email addresses you provide with an official invite and methods for paying your buy-in. We reserve the right to reject/uninvite anyone at any time, due to dangerous driving, reckless behavior, poor sportsmanship, or any other infractions that Matt, Geoff or any majority of other racers consider severe enough to warrant it. While we understand & want to foster a high sense of competition, we do not want it at the expense of safety, community, or any reasons that would impact the overall enjoyment of this league for other participants. Consider yourself warned.

Details thus far: Racing will consist one track day event per month, with each event consisting of at least three (3ea) races. Most of the locations we will be racing at offer a three race package, priced between $60-80. In these instances, the first two races will be considered “practices” used to familiarize yourself with the tracks, and the final race will be used for scoring based on fastest times. You would be responsible for purchasing these race packages yourself, and turning in your times to the PSKL Timekeeping representative on-site for proper scoring.

Should enough interest in this league be shown, we will instead attempt to schedule these track days as private events at each location, which can end up being cheaper per event per driver. Many of them offer a “Grand Prix" style format for the racing in private events, which typically consist of one (1ea) practice session, one (1ea) qualifying session to set your fastest possible time, and then one 1 (ea) final race for position (instead of time). This style of racing is more unique and offers a different method of competing, and if these events happen instead of the usual time-based competition, this will be communicated as early as possible.

And finally, what are we racing for, if not a prize of some kind? Each participant will be required to submit a one-time buy-in at the start of the season of $10. This buy-in will be added to the prize pool, and the winner at the end of the season will receive the full amount. That means - 10 racers at a $10 buy-in each = one (1ea) winner at the end of the season receives $100.

Each driver would be required to pay their monthly racing package event fee to cover their cost of racing that month to the venue of choice, or to PSKL if we purchase an event in advance for a better price to the league members. This plus their one-time buy-in would be the only costs to drivers. All locations have helmets, head socks and drivers would not be required to provide their own unless desired.
